Built and managed a real e-commerce brand as a hands-on digital project, covering design, front-end work, SEO, and platform management. The store was initially developed using WordPress & WooCommerce and later migrated to Shopify as the brand and product range grew.

Project background

TAO Infinity started as a small WooCommerce store to test products, content, and SEO. As the number of products, collections, and marketing activities increased, I evaluated the technical and operational limitations of WooCommerce and decided to migrate the store to Shopify to improve scalability, performance, and day-to-day workflow efficiency.

What I did in practice

• Built the first version of the store using WordPress + WooCommerce

• Structured product pages, categories, and content with SEO in mind

• Managed products, descriptions, images, and metadata in WooCommerce

• Identified performance, maintenance, and scalability challenges as the store grew

• Planned and executed the migration from WooCommerce to Shopify

• Rebuilt product pages, collections, navigation, and content structure in Shopify

• Optimised product titles, descriptions, tags, and metadata for SEO after migration

• Ensured responsive behaviour and usability across devices

• Continuously iterated on structure, content, and performance based on real usage

Key takeaway
